February 9th through February 16th is one of the biggest weeks in the city of New York for those who love fashion. It is the Mercedes Benz sponsored fashion week. Fashion designers, new and old, display their latest collections through runway shows for the media and public at large to take note of the newest trends.
Disappointingly, no designer incorporated insects into their works in 2012. But in 2008, designer Marios Schwab used beetles as inspiration for his fashion designs. Take a look at these breathtaking pieces. Can you believe that the inspiration behind these were beetles? I simply could not believe that! The designer fashion is juxtaposed with the fashionable beetles in the pictures below.
